"Drink This" Innis & Gunn with Owner & Brewmaster Dougal Sharp

Owner & Brewmaster Dougal Sharp of Innis & Gunn: Oak Aged Beer talks with John Hedlund and Drink This about how he discovered this unique brew. Owner & Brewmaster Dougal Sharp of Innis & Gunn: Oak Aged Beer talks with John Hedlund and Drink This about how he discovered this unique brew. The Innis and Gunn story: A character is born. It all began when a famous whisky distiller contacted Master Brewer Dougal Sharp to tell him that they wanted to produce an ale-finished whisky. Many other brewers and distillers had tried to make ale finished whisky but none had succeeded. Dougal proposed a special recipe and a special technique. He created a unique ale to impart a smooth, beery character to the oak barrels. This would in turn flavour the maturing whisky. The distillers were delighted that the process worked and the resulting Ale Cask reserve Whisky was a real success. It was only many months later, after thousands of gallons of beer had been used to season the oak barrels (then tragically, thrown away), that Dougal received a call that would change everything. "You have got to taste this beer that we are pouring away. The workers have sampled it and they say it tastes absolutely delicious," Get the full story here: http://www.innisandgunn.com/~/media/Files/IGstory.ashx http://Innisandgunn.com http://DrinkThis.tv @DrinkThisTweets All material within this video is owned and produced by John Hedlund and Exit 172 Productions, LLC. Drink This: NewJerseyCraftBeer.com Interview - International Great Beer Expo Meadowlands NJ 2012

Drink This: NewJerseyCraftBeer.com Interview - International Great Beer Expo Meadowlands NJ 2012

New Jersey was once a booming beer community, and it's moving back in that direction.

NJCB's mission is to provide craft beer fans in New Jersey with a resource for finding current beer-happenings. While the website can be used as a digital map for finding beer, it also makes potential customers aware of the businesses involved with NJCB.

NJCB is dedicated to posting as much information on New Jersey craft beer as possible. Some examples of this information include: tap list changes, beer events, tap take-overs, homebrew information, new brewery information, beer fundraisers, growler station changes/updates, and craft beer availability at different liquor stores/restaurants/bars and anything else beer-related. Stick with us on Twitter and Facebook while we un-tap the world of craft beer in New Jersey.

We have over 20 reporters working for NJCB covering the entire state.

Feel free to send us any beer related information and we will gladly post it to the thirsty public.

Now that you know what we do here at NJCB in a nutshell, spread the word. Here's a 1-Sheet to send your friends.

Local business that want to know more information about NJCB, please click here to read our media kit. It contains info about what we offer in our Freemium and Premium packages along with the important Membership Club.

Work Update

It's been a good year so far. Most notably working with the band Flounder. Working on media for them and releasing their CD. Also move some things around the office to create a better workflow. Hired Greg Goldman to be our Associate Producer and Booking Manager. He can be reached at GregGoldman@exit172.com. Last night I worked for 16 hours updating the websites and online profiles. Today my brain feels like mush. But I got a lot accomplished. I also picked up Dragon naturally speaking software I'm using to write this blog post. I hope the software will allow me to write more as I don't like physically typing and I can think better when talking out loud. So far the software works great and hopefully also do more blog posts. I always wanted to keep a journal as a kid and was never very good about doing it. Stay tuned for more.
